About the Role
You will help to prevent and deter disturbances at the Lounge through:
Checking ID's and spot checking those who walk in
Performing both regular and random patrols of inside and outside premises
Reporting any security-related incidents, hazards or unusual occurrences
When necessary, performing control procedures
Operating emergency equipment
Documenting nightly operations and filing weekly reports
Investigating breaches of property
Requirements
You must meet the following requirements:
Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
Sound communication skills
Professional presentation
Ability to work as a team member and solo
Willingness and ability to work to a flexible work schedule, evenings and weekends
Reliable transport
Active cellphone
Ability to pass a drug screen
Current Security license from the State of Alabama
Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Emerald Lounge is an elevated cocktail and hookah destination in the historic East Lake area of Birmingham, Alabama. We are a modern hookah lounge and cocktail bar with a beverage program focused on craft cocktails, regional beers, and small production, low intervention wines. We make our own juices and simple syrups, change our selections frequently, and run a seasonal cocktail program.
We value hospitality above all else - extending it to our customers, co-workers, community, neighbors, and anyone else we can. We are looking for an enthusiastic yet rule regulating Security Officer to round out our team and provide an excellent guest experience.
Most shifts starting at 7pm. We pay weekly, enjoy free parking and awesome daily staff benefits prior to each shift, and are a growing company with excellent opportunity for upward movement.
