About the Role
Emerald Lounge is looking for a highly motivated leader to manage all liquor and beverage operations within the location. The Beverage Director will lead a team of expertly trained professionals that execute innovative and experiential programming while driving a healthy bottom line. This role requires planning and management to achieve customer (guests, employees, corporate and owners) satisfaction and quality service while exceeding financial goals.

Job Duties
We require a candidate to have solid leadership and communication skills;
Works hand-in-hand with the finance team to create financial reports and meet budgeted revenues and expenses.
Coordinates with all departments within the hotel to maximize the full guest experience
Must have a social network to market to and leverage, working in partnership with the General Manager.
Oversees and directs the seamless running of day-to-day nightlife and special event operations.
Ensures that systems and procedures are consistently applied throughout the venue by the management team.
Develops strategic partnerships with local nightlife influencers to raise visibility and steal market share from competitors.
Monitors month-end reports and provide verbal and written feedback to ownership.
Work closely with GM and Ownership on all aspects of the nightlife operation including programming, bookings, managing promoters, marketing, and hiring personnel.
Directly reports on inventory/COGS , labor management and all cost controls.
Maintains impeccable customer relations, internal and external customers.
Manages the standard procedures for cash transactions.
Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
Implement emergency organization procedures and training through the management of the contracted security staff to ensure appropriate protection for guests, staff and company assets.
Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
About the Company
Emerald Lounge is an elevated cocktail and hookah destination in the historic East Lake area of Birmingham, Alabama. We are a modern hookah lounge and cocktail bar with a beverage program focused on craft cocktails, regional beers, and small production, low intervention wines. We make our own juices and simple syrups, change our selections frequently, and run a seasonal cocktail program.
We value hospitality above all else - extending it to our customers, co-workers, community, neighbors, and anyone else we can. We are looking for an enthusiastic Bartender to round out our team and provide an excellent guest experience.
We run with 2-3 bartenders nightly, with shifts starting at 3pm for management staff. Tips and overall compensation is competitive, especially considering the esthetic and culture of our lounge. Bartenders at our venue also serve guests occasionally who wish to enjoy our hookah selection, so you must be interested in helping out in other areas as well as beverages to enjoy the position.
